The Cali Queenpen

I'm not just an Artist/Author; I'm also my own Publisher. That means I did it all. I wore all the hats. In 2007, I booked myself a pre-release book tour across the globe, making connections via MySpace (wow). I showed up in person where I could, and virtually where I could not. One evening I had a radio interview on a station based out of New Jersey with one other author, this guy from Brooklyn. As our segment and discussions were moving along, the other author stops me while I’m describing how I hustle, how it’s very Cali, very hand to hand, very conversational, very out the trunk with it as if it were a drug or mixtape… and he says “yo queen respect, you a queenPEN, P-E-N, Cali Queenpen, that’s crazy hustle.” At the time, I was a rarity, I think without a box. I’ve been The Cali Queenpen ever since.
